Step-by-Step Guide
A simple guide for iERA UK volunteers on recording a new Shahada correctly.
Make sure the person says the Shahada clearly and sincerely. If possible, have at least one other Muslim present as a witness. Congratulate them and say Alhamdulillah!
Go to your UK Volunteer Dashboard at worldcupdawah.com/uk/volunteer. Make sure you are logged in.
💡 Tip
If you're not logged in, click 'Login / Sign Up' on the UK page first.
On your dashboard, click the green 'New Shahada' button — it's in the sidebar, the welcome banner, and the Quick Actions section.
A form will appear. Fill in as much as you can:
💡 Tip
Phone number is optional — some people prefer to keep it private, especially at an event.
Tap 'Record Shahada'. The system will save their details to the New Muslims tracker automatically.
You will receive a welcome email immediately. It contains a warm, personalised message for the new Muslim. Forward it to them via email, WhatsApp, or read it to them directly.
💡 Tip
If they don't have an email, read them the welcome message and let them know a mentor will be in touch soon.
If you're filling in your daily outreach report for that session, remember to include the shahada count in the 'Shahadahs' field of your report as well.
The new Muslim will appear in the New Muslims Tracker. A coordinator or mentor manager will assign them a mentor as soon as possible. The mentor will reach out to them directly.
💡 Tip
If you feel the person needs urgent support or follow-up, message the admin team via WhatsApp or the dashboard.
JazakAllahu Khayran for your dawah effort. Every Shahada is a blessing.
